Spotlight on Entertainment and Business, Friday, March 13, 2009

Well let it be known that Friday the 13th is more than just a movie that Jay Grayce and I saw. And did Jason take her and Bruce for ransom or was he testing Colin on doing his first solo phoner show? Find out as we learn that it all starts out with news that Beebe Okoye owner of Kiva cafe is pregnant and is having some test done so she can’t make it but has her artist friend Eileen Hickey-Hulme fill in. So as luck would have it (sorry Jason) Eileen armed saves the day and tells us all about her unique style of art that she mostly paints with nail polish, lipstick, eye shadow and various other unconventional media. She is a big fan of Andy Warhol and once a flower child not a flower girl creates her pearlescent abstract images of power with those of fragility. Between Abstract Expressionism, Minimalism and Pop she paints things that are seen but not seen. For me that is scary perfect for Friday the 13th. You can see her exhibits and works like Bang, Bang!! Guns and Roses, future exhibits like one in October at Kiva Cafe 139 Reade St, and Big Apple Florist on East 45th St; all April. Also to see and buy her works starting at $225 go on line at: www.eileenhickey-hulme.com. And Beebe make sure that baby’s name rhymes with yours and that you will beeeeeee on our show soon.
